Fr. Gregory Faulhaber, Pastor

Fr. Greg is the third of eight children, raised in Lancaster N.Y. where his family’s roots go back to at least 1850. He was ordained as a priest in 1979 and his first assignment was at St. Barnabas Parish in Depew. He next served at St. Amelia in Tonawanda, and then directed the Newman Center at SUNY Buffalo, South Campus. Fr. Greg was then sent for further studies, and he completed his doctorate in Moral Theology at the Catholic University of Louvain, in Belgium in 1994. Since that time his full time ministry has been at Christ the King Seminary in East Aurora where he has been serving as Professor of Moral Theology, Vice Rector, and Director of Seminarian Formation.

For the past 20 years he has also served as weekend associate at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Lancaster. In addition to his priestly ministry, Fr. Greg enjoys most sports and spending time with his family. He has served on numerous committees and advisory boards in the Diocese of Buffalo and throughout WNY.

Fr. Ryan Keating, Parochial Vicar

Fr. Ryan is native of the city of Buffalo, and a graduate of Nichols School and Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Before seminary he was an elementary and middle school  teacher and a former corps member of Teach For America, an Americorps program.  He earned a Masters in Education from Arizona State University.

Deacon John Ruh

Deacon John is a graduate of Bishop Timon High School; Canisius College, B.S. History; Niagara University M.A. History; and Christ the King Seminary, M.A. Pastoral Ministry. Prior to ordination, he taught social studies at West Seneca Sr. High School. He was ordained by Bishop Mansell in 1998 and was first assigned to Immaculate Conception Parish, East Aurora. Following this, he came to Queen of Heaven in 2001 as parish deacon and presently continues in that capacity today. From 2004 to 2008, he was asked by the Bishop to fill a vacancy and serve as parish administrator of Immaculate Conception Parish, East Bethany, NY.

While at Queen of Heaven, Deacon John has worked in sacramental preparation, Bible Study, Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, Greeter Ministry, and is spiritual advisor to the Legion of Mary. He preaches regularly at Sunday liturgy, and performs various and sundry duties assigned by the pastor. He and his wife Joan have three adult sons and six grandchildren. They live in East Aurora.

Robert Strozewski, Administrative Assistant

Rob and his wife Teresa have been Parishioners of Q of H for over 26 years and live in West Seneca. In his spare time Rob works on home projects and enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 grandsons.

Patti Waszak, Parish Secretary & Receptionist

Patti has been a Parishioner of Q of H for over 12 years and is happily married to her husband Jerry. Together they enjoy traveling, and watching football and hockey. In their free time they are avid walkers and you can often find them walking 5 to 7 miles a day around town.

Lauren Binder, Communications Coordinator

Lauren joined the Q Parish Staff part-time in June 2017 and also works for St. Philip the Apostle Parish as the Parish Office Manager. She holds a Masters of Science Degree in Communications and Leadership Development, Specializing in Integrated Marketing, Canisius College ’12. A lifelong member of the Parish and graduate of Queen of Heaven School, she is excited to follow in her Mother’s and Grandmother’s footsteps in helping to grow this Parish Community. She also enjoys traveling abroad, theatre, and coaching others how to find balance, growth, and purpose in their life.

Ann Walter, Accountant & Business Coordinator

Ann has worked at Queen of Heaven since December 2000. She currently works as the accountant and business coordinator. Ann and her husband Steve have been parishioners for over 33 years and live in Orchard Park with their family. In her spare time Ann enjoys spending time with her family including her three children, reading and walking.

Kelly Evers, Bookkeeper

Kelly has been employed at Queen of Heaven since April 2013 as a bookkeeper. Kelly and her husband Steve and their two children live in Lancaster, NY. In her spare time Kelly enjoys spending time with her family, shopping and reading.

Kevin Capanyola, Director of Music

Kevin is the Director of Music at Queen of Heaven. He retired from teaching band/chorus from the Newfane Central School District after 31 years and enjoys traveling, sports and attending concerts with his wife Maureen. He has been involved with music ministry since high school, spending most of that time here at Queen of Heaven.
